Research

My research interests are in topological graph theory, especially graph embeddings, orientable genus, rotation systems, and forbidden minors.

Publications and Research Writing

An Efficient Genus Algorithm Based on Graph Rotations

With Alexander Metzger, I co-authored a paper on an algorithm that determines the orientable genus of a finite connected graph using graph rotations.

Graph Genera and Minors

My undergraduate honors thesis at the University of Washington studies graph embeddings on orientable surfaces, rotation systems, graph genera, and forbidden minors. The thesis was supervised by Francois Clement.

Expository Graph Theory Writing

I also write expository notes and solutions in graph theory, including notes on maximum cut and the Goemans-Williamson algorithm.
